The Olympic Spirit!
Bardi Wind Orchestra Concert 27th June 2009, De Montfort Hall, Leicester. In support of the Special Olympics – Leicester 2009 Leicester has been honoured with being the first city to be allowed to stage the Special Olympics for a second time. To contribute to the celebrations, and also to raise money for the Special Olympics, the ‘Lions Clubs of Leicestershire and Rutland’ in conjunction with the ‘Bardi Wind Orchestra’ are staging a concert at the De Montfort Hall Leicester on 27th. June. (Details of which you will find on the attached poster.) Lions Clubs all over the world have been involved in supporting the Special Olympics in every country in which they are held. This support is not only in raising funds but also in the daily work of running and stewarding the events. Helping to ensure that both competitors and visitors get maximum enjoyment from their time at the Olympics. Documents
