
Ted Cassidy MBE, Chair of the Special Olympics Leicester Summer Games 2009 and Head of Regional and International Partnerships at De Montfort University.
Ted Cassidy MBE, Head of Regional and International Partnerships at De Montfort University, is Chair of the Special Olympics Leicester Summer Games Board. He is a non-executive Director of Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce and a trustee of the National Space Centre.
He is an active supporter of the arts as Chair of Phoenix Arts, which will run the new Digital Media Centre being built in Leicester's Cultural Quarter. He was formerly Chair of Culture East Midlands and is currently Deputy Chair of the East Midlands Regional Sports Board.
A qualified Youth and Community worker and Social Worker, he is founder and Chair of Saffron Young People's Project. Ted is also a trustee of Goldhill Adventure Playground.
Ted is a former senior Leicester City Councillor and was Deputy Chair of East Midlands Development Agency. He is a long-standing Leicester City Football Club season ticket holder.
