As usual “The Birch” will be attempting to run for 90 minutes around the pitch with an aim of completing a target of at least 50 laps.
There are three charities who will receive monies from the run, split as follows - Special Olympics Leicester 2009 will receive 50%, NHS Trust 25% and Everyman (testicular cancer) 25%.
The Birch said “I thought Special Olympics Leicester 2009 was an ideal choice to be one of the three chosen charities this year with Leicester being chosen to host the event and the Opening Ceremony will be held at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday 25th July and will be a spectacular event.”
