Last Monday saw the launch of the Leicester Mercury Christmas Appeal which has chosen to support this region's Special Olympics athletes. The appeal aims to raise funds to provide all 200 East Midlands team members with new tracksuits for the Games next July with their "Wear it with Pride" appeal. To make a donation please send a cheque made payable to "Special Olympics East Midlands" and post to "Angela Morley, Special Olympics East Midlands, C/O Holland Alexander, LCB Depot, 31 Rutland Street, Leicester, LE1 1RE by 24th December 2008.
