A post-Christmas drive by the organisers of SOL has seen members of the official group on Facebook top 500.
With the help of the national governing bodies across the UK, the"Special Olympics Leicester" group has seen its friends list grow bynearly 100 - to 510 - in the past two weeks. The magic number of 1,000friends remains the target for the organisers and everyone can do their bit by telling fellow users to sign up.
The social networking pages on Facebook, MySpace and Bebo are updated with all the latest news and imagery from the 2009 National Summer Games.
