Arriving at city schools in March will be the SO Let’s Learn Education Resource Pack, sponsored by Leicester City Council Sports Services “Free Swim for Children” campaign and supported by the Lord Mayor’s Appeal and the SDSA.
The Games provides schools with a fantastic opportunity to promote key values of: Inclusion; Fairness; Tolerance; Teamwork; Awareness and Respect.
The Education Resource Pack will contain material to help introduce the Special Olympics to pupils in a relevant and educative way and includes:
Special Olympics Leicester Athletes and Ambassadors, including the Lord Mayor of Leicester could visit your school to coincide with a particular activity or assembly. Information is being sent to school Heads and SOL Ambassadors already signed up to the SOL School Programme this week.

- Planning SOL Theme Days around sport, healthy lifestyle, curriculum needs
