SOL ambassadors Mark Selby and Tim Stimpson attended the community roadshow on Wednesday (11 March) at De Montfort University to help drive awareness of the need for volunteers ahead of the National Summer Games in July.
World no 4 snooker potshot Selby said: "It's so crucial that the people of Leicester back the National Summer Games. I am only too happy to sign up as a volunteer and I hope that we can reach that magic number of 1,500 people to show that the city can really put on a world-class event."
ITV Central, BBC East Midlands TV and the Leicester Mercury covered the event.
