With only two months to go until the Special Olympics National Summer Games in Leicester, the race is on to secure 1,000 friends on social networking site Facebook.
Providing all the latest news and imagery associated to the Games, the SOL Facebook page is the only page to go to engage with fellow Special Olympics athletes.
The latest feature on the social networking site is a video uploaded by SOL athlete Lee Penfold featuring Alan Birchenall's annual fun run at the last home game of Leicester City's season, with a percentage of the proceeds going to the Lord Mayor's Appeal.
The organisers of the Games are also set to run a competition to celebrate the 1,000th friend to sign up to the SOL page. Log-on to Facebook and type, “Special Olympics Leicester" to sign up as a friend and find out more information.
