Football legend Gary Lineker called on people to give their support to the Special Olympics being held in Leicester next year. A national media campaign is set to advertise the event, expected to attract thousands to Leicester.

 

The Walkers Stadium will host the Opening Ceremony of the Games on 25th July with events taking place at venues around the city and in Rutland. About 3,000 athletes with learning disabilities will compete in more than 21 sports over eight days during the Games.
