Special Olympics Leicester 2009 (SOL) team will be hosting the 5th Community Roadshow at Judgemeadow Community College on Tuesday, 18th November from 4.30 - 5.30 pm and 5.30 - 6.30 pm.

 

The SOL Roadshows provide the latest information to local communities about the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games and how to get involved in the Games next year from signing up as volunteer, hosting aSOL event and becoming a SOL supporter for the Games which take place from the 21st to the 25th July in Leicester next year.

 

Members from the Special Olympics Games Organising Committee will be present at the Roadshow where they will talk to the local community of Evington on the background to Special Olympics and an overview of theevents and activities taking place during the Games week. Roadshow attendees will also be given the opportunity to ask questions about the Games and understand more about the role of a Special Olympics volunteer.

 

Tuesday's Roadshow will also include details on the football tournaments which are being hosted by the nearby Goals Soccer Centre. Activities will give local people the opportunity to understand the rolethey can play in supporting the athletes, their families and putting on a fantastic event.
