Registering for the Games Every Family member attending the Games who wishes to avail of Family Services at the Leicester Games must now register at the Games Information Centre at the Games Village at Walkers Stadium where you will be able to receive an accreditation pass. The Games Village will be open from 0800 on Sunday, 26th July onwards. All Special Olympics events are open to the public free of charge so anyone can attend as a spectator. However, accreditation enables family members to have access to family centres and family specific activities during the Games together with concessionary travel around Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. You must register with the Special Olympics Games Office or Information Centre to get an accreditation pass. Parents of competing athletes and family members of the athletes will be offered free access to all sporting venues during Special Olympics GB National Summer Games Leicester 2009. Deadlines for family members to register The deadline for registering was 31st May 2009, however, you can obtain an accreditation pass from the Games Village as mentioned above. Should you register after this date this will mean that you may not receive full accreditation, however, the Games Company will endeavour to fulfill full accreditation, where possible. All accreditation passes have been forwarded to all family members who registered prior to 31st May 2009 and have been sent to them direct in the post. |
